Best thing about it: cottage with spacious loft reached by very narrow interior stair;  writing room stocked with literary biographies; looks out onto the orchard; cozy feel but with discrete spaces for two people to work

Best thing about it: gracious and shabby-chic with good  old bones; big rooms and tall windows, nice center staircase;  feeling of space;  large front porch for outdoor dining and relaxing

The Sunny Duplex

Best thing about it: more of a boho vibe: big kitchen table, master bedroom with lots of storage on main floor next to the bathroom,  sunny living room, attic bedroom adored by kids;  extra study room upstairs

Note: short doorways.  Folk Art is front half of Victorian house;  rest of the house is used for storage with separate back entrance

Stylish Working Farm Cottage

Best thing about it: mid-mod decor, full-size kitchen equipped with big island and table, gorgeous views across the whole house front, 3 bedrooms,  sometimes cows in the pasture nearby
